TOTO toilet.....dripping water into toilet bowel.
Assumed it was a flapper issue so replaced it.
Not the solution....still dripping.

The flapper seat may have an eroded spot. Once the toilet bowl is full the only way for the water to enter the bowl is the over flow pipe, this can be adjusted. If the water is dripping into the toilet tank the float shut off is leaking.

Put food color in toilet tank,  if the color shows up in the bowl the flapper is leaking, if not it is the fill valve leaking.  Normally if the flapper is leaking you will hear the fill valve open when the water is low enough in tank, wont be just a lasting trickle.   If the fill valve is leaking it can be a lasting slow trickle.   Roly

Clean the seat of the flapper valve with vinegar. You could also clean the flapper, but I normally just replace those.
