I have a DeWalt 734 given to me by a friend who picked it up at the local “dump”. A guy threw it out because it was “weak”. I assumed he never changed the blades
Fired it up, ran fine. Fresh blades and started using it. All to frequently the circuit breaker on it would trip. On line research told me a common problem. Replaced the breaker, all seemed fine until recently.
I waxed the bed- big help
But working with 9 inch ash, the breaker was still tripping.

I looked for a replacement breaker locally- no luck. I picked up an automotive fuse holder ( type ATC ) - the larger plug in typed, and some 20 amp fuses. The breaker is rated 18 amps. I wired it in, and it has been working fine. Even when the plane was struggling with the wider ash.
I g go ad changed the blades recently, but run a fair bit of white cedar threw it- the knots tend to dull the blades, so I just flipped the blades. Much better.

So, if you are having trouble with the on board circuit breaker, you might want to give the fuse idea a try.
