Thanks for all the comments. The log caliper is by F.M. Greenleaf. I recently had an opportunity to use it at our farm in northern Missouri. We were having some big white oak sawn, up to 36" in diameter. I used the caliper to estimate board yields. It was a lot of fun but my phone app is quicker. I believe the logger was ready to call the guys in white coats on me.
