My parents used CWF on their cedar log house, reapplying every year or two. The logs are still red, but darker as fishhh4 mentions. The next time I visit I'll check on what they use now.

Another vote for the Behr solid color stain. It does hide the wood grain, but it will look great for years. And I am very lazy, so recoating stuff every year is just not in the cards. Once every ten years is about right.
