I'm partial to Atkins saws but I hadn't seen that size before; tote-wise it does look like a #2 Atkins.
These saws can work pretty well. Some users might like a bit more weight in the steel back. Also, whether or not it was meant for a miter box could be indicated by the plate thickness. Miter-box Atkins saws have pretty thick plates (say more than 0.030"). If it's actually meant for dovetails it can have a thinner plate.

Checked the plate thickness. I am measuring 0.027" on this saw. For comparison, my old Tyzack backsaw measures 0.023" and my new Lee Valley backsaw measures0.020".
