I have 2, one from Lee Valley, and one, much older, same design.
On one I have a 1750 rpm motor, the other has a 3450 motor.
The slower one is useful for wooden projects, you can sometimes rip the 1" belt, narrower, and get into smaller places.
the faster one is great for metal work,, sharpening, deburring, etc.
Rockwell used to make one, but it was very loud.
I mention that in case you find a used one.
I have not had any problems finding belts online.
I find the 42" belts work better and lasts longer then the 30" belts, but you might have different experience .
