How do you protect chisel edges?

I know guys who have purchased a can of Plasti Dip and dunk the first .75" into it and let it harden and then it pulls off nicely and also stays on nicely too.

This works pretty good
As of this time I am now teaching vets again.  If you have any lumber scraps we can use them to glue up to make some bowl from a board which we have not done yet..  Thank You Everyone.
