Cheapy, 16 oz Claw Hammer...after a clean up from a yard sale....removed the dirt, and found the mess..

I just re-did a cross-pein or riveting hammer.  The old handle was loose, and the new replacement makes the tool a joy to use!   I used a homemade wood wedge, and I made the (small-ish sort of octagonal) handle from a larger stock handle.

This is the kind of thing that can be addictive!

P.S.  The driving of the head onto the handle is like "Retracting the Blade in a Woodie", but even more cool... fun physics of impacts and momentums
