Yippee, ordered that skew rabbet plane I had been drooling over. Sold my old Peter Wright anvil to raise funds (no, not broke, just Scotch). No longer need an anvil and it went in three hours on Craig's list to first caller who bought sight unseen. Made his Christmas and he made mine.

You'll like the plane. Rabbets up grain with barely a fuzz. Got the tilt fence, and hope to do some panel raising soon.
Better to follow the leader than the pack. Less to step in.

For once my forgetfulness has paid off. I've been meaning to buy a longer straight edge but keep forgetting it when I have my wallet.

More than three, Rob, trust me on this one.
...Naval Aviators, that had balz made of brass and the size of bowling balls, getting shot off the deck at night, in heavy seas, hoping that when they leave the deck that the ship is pointed towards the sky and not the water.
