Last night was very frustrating for me, apparently adding info to threads created prior to the new software has some real issues. So I'm starting a new thread for the sharing of the jig and any new info that comes to light. Sad, but the only way I'm able to continue and not lose my sanity.
The old thread is only two posts away at the moment and has a lot of info, here is a link when it finally gets off page and the future. https://forums.woodnet.net/showthread.php?tid=6969967
As I said the jig has started on its journey so let's use this thread for its travels and developments.
That's really nice work. As one of the early testers, it is amazing to see the evolution of this guide from its inception. Well done.
I finally broke down and bought the new L-N guide. It works very well, but with attachments the cost was a bit over the top. And, for the blades that fit, my $10 Eclipse guide gets my blades just as sharp. And, while swapping out the jaws isn't horrible, I love the all-in-one factor or yours.
Best of luck with these. If you can get them made, I think it will be a hit.
Please add me to the list too; I'd very much like to try out your jig.
One suggestion; recommend/require all participants to send the jig via shipping with tracking and insurance. A similar pass-around failed several years ago when an expensive French rasp went missing. The last shipper didn't have the foresight to utilize available tracking features to help locate it. Just a friendly FYI...

I know a bit about shipping. . . . LOL . . . . If you ship USPS priority mail you get tracking and $50 of insurance included. Just sayin.....

I received the sharpening jig from Boattman53 and have worked with it for approximately 18/20 hours. I am truly impressed and will try to post my thoughts and some pictures. I haven’t posted any pictures with the new format so I’m going to try with this note and just one pictures to see how it goes before I do the rest of it.

Well that didn't work out very well. Have to find out what I'm doing wrong. Do we still have to put pictures in an off site and copy from there? I thought from some of the post that I could just post from my pictures. ??
