can't quite read the manufacturer on the 6" square. Who recognizes it?

Looks like a PEC ( Products Engineering) square from the head and nut style, except painted black.

Looks like the igaging logo to me on the small one.
Call CS, they'll usually answer. Although I don't think the special price beats a pair of PEC squares from Harry Epstein. And they even decorate the box!

Yes, a HJE's pair (12" x 2) would be about the same price, but it has no 6" square.
