HANDTOOLS: Backsaws, rip and cc; 20" Panel Saw, D-8 Added
#11
Been laid up and had to take it easy in the shop, but could sharpen saws, so here's a few for those so inclined (more to come)

Take your pick at $45 each, at that price you're getting the saws for $5 given the sharpening and rehab; take them all for $125, all plus shipping.

First up is a Disston #4, 14", 14pt with 3 1/4" deep plate tenon saw, filed rip, clean etch, straight, freshly sharpened and cuts straight (pic in cherry); only apology is chip on top horn, a worthy saw.  Pics:

Next up is an Atkins #3; 12pt, 14" filed rip for carcass saw; etch was barely there before I cleaned and polished the plate, but it is an Atkins #3, from what's left you can barely see the 3 in a circle on the right, marked "MHS Wood S" so it was a high school woodshop survivor; apology is small chip in lower horn; plate straight, cuts straight, another worthy saw from a good maker.  Here's a catalog link with the #3 saw, at page 116.       https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzJxodH...VpdHM/view Pics:

Last, but not least, is a "Cuyahoga Saw Co. Cleveland" 20" (nice size) panel saw, 8pt, taper ground; handle solid, plate straight, cuts straight, filed crosscut, freshly sharpened; has Warranted Superior medallion, I believe Disston made it as a branded saw, handle very much like a Disston 16, Engineer had one with this mark for sale a while back; hard to find 20" size in 8pt, a worthy saw; pics:

First PM with an unequivocal "I'll take it" gets priority; prices plus shipping so include your shipping address in the PM so I can figure postage; I don't have paypal so don't ask (its a new trick and I'm an old dog) so payment by USPS money order please, checks ok if I know you from the forum.

Worthy tools I would own myself at reasonable prices.  Thanks for looking.

Here's a new and late addition to the three previously posted, a Disstion D-8, 26", 8pt, plenty of plate left on this saw - more than most, repaired handle, well done, freshly sharpened, plate straight, cuts straight; this was my user for a while but I've accumulated better ones, time to make room in the till so I sharpened it up and here it is, a worthy and nice saw that will give many years of service.  $50 plus shipping.  Pics:

Bump for the Atkins No. 3. Considering the sharpening job, you're getting the saw for practically nothing. Cuts very nicely...... nice shape.
