Here's a very nice user Type 18 ('46-'47) immediately post war smoother; still has the thicker castings of the wartime planes, but the brass returned (didn't need the brass for shell casings anymore) and made when Stanley still gave a chit... I paid some attention to it, cleaned it up and tuned it properly for use.
Pretty much full iron, I flattened the back and sharpened it up; also tuned the chipbreaker for a good mating with the iron; makes pretty nice full width shavings; sole and mouth just dandy, wood solid, 85% +++ japanning; 100% metal, no cracks, and everything works like it should. Not much else to say, pics tell the story.
Yours for $38 plus shipping. First PM with an unequivocal "I'll take it" gets priority, and please include your shipping address so I can quote postage and print mailing labels; I don't have paypal so payment by USPS money order unless I know you from the forum, then checks are ok.
Always quality users that I would own myself, given the once over and priced reasonably. Thanks for looking.
