LED for Bandsaw
#11
Does anyone know of a good quality gooseneck  LED light for a band saw. I would  like 5000K light, AC power with a permanent magnetic base (I saw some on amazon that the magnetic base only worked when the light was on).

Thanks

No ac power, but I use this small flashlight holder from LV, and mounted one of those new high power flashlights to it.  Batteries last a long time in the new ones.

I remember a thread that indicated that folks were using sewing machine lights with magnetic bases.  I use the lee valley one indicated in the answer above.

I have the earlier version of the KJR Beacon from Craft Supplies USA (woodturnerscatalog.com).  It is on my lathe and I am very happy with strength of the magnet.

I'm using this one from Ikea.  Jansjo flex light  I glued magnets to it and it works great.

I have two of these and they're very good. Not cheap, but do a good job. No magnetic base but they can be rigged for one. They also come with a clamp base.

A while back Peachtree Woodworking had one of their sale deals on the I gaging light seen below. Sticks almost too hard, and is bright enough my poor vision can see everything I am poorly cutting on both my bandsaws
