Just finished up a major clean up of the shop....was starting to miss just making sawdust....
Found a 1 x 10 of Pine scrap.....marked a bunch of lines all over it.....including a large circle...
Bandsaw did the circle cut...
Then got out a brace and bit
To make chopping out a few square holes easier..
At one point, that Japanese mortise chisel caused a split to happen
So, I cleaned things up, applied glue to the break, and added the clamps
And went back to chopping. Added a smaller chisel, and used my chin to "power" it, instead of the hammer.
Got to the point that the clamps were in the way....decided to let the glue sit overnight, and called it an evening...
Stay tuned, there may be more of this "Trouble with Trivets"
IF anyone wants, I can post another thread about that shop cleanup......
