I just gave the plane blade and double-sided tape a try and it worked extremely well. Thank you again for the suggestion! Andy

Glad it worked.  Just need three things in the shop and you can solve just about any problem - double sided tape, duct tape, and zip ties (especially the reusable ones from LV).  I guess that's another thread.
