HF grinder nut question

The tech said it's 1/2-13, but I have a 1/2-13 nut that jams.  I'll try to find that metric nut and see it if it works.

If I can't find it...looks like a Rikon slow speed grinder is in the works.

If you know someone with a cnc machine shop they could single point thread a new nut of any pitch.

which would cost at least as much as the grinder did originally, currently $50.

yes, that's what it does on mine. I can start a 1/2-13 but it jams. the 1/2-12 works perfect.
The metric I tried jams also.
