Menards LED shop light?

Yes. 4K is more pure white.
It’s what we have at my office and I like that.

thanks for the suggestions to everyone.

Stopped by Menards and picked up 8 of these units. Three were plenty to light up the laundry area and we'll probably only use two most of the time. The rest are going into the workshop. I won't need that many lights and that much lumen turned on all the time in my 11x25 basement garage, but it will be nice to place them in task areas and turn them on as needed for that area.
Here's to a brighter future! (groan)

Over the past year ive converted all my shop lights over.....Mainly the cheaper ones....4000 lumens? I think they were around $20 each. I bought two of the more expensive ones. Here

Super happy with them.....plus get them on the 11% deal......hard to beat.

Once Favre hangs it up though, it years of cellar dwelling for the Pack. (Geoff 12-18-07)

5500K is white, nearly perfect sunlight.

5000K is pretty dang close.

4000K is getting yellow.

3000K is falling towards the red end of the spectrum.

I started with LED's years ago, converted 2 of my Florescent to LED Direct wire, with tubes off of Amazon. I then started picking up lights from Menards and Home Depot.  The 5000 Lumen Smart Electrician was the biggest one I found at that time. This summer though, Rockler had 7500 Lumen ones on sale for $40, I got 4 of them. They are the best I have found recently and look forward to finishing putting them in my garage and moving the smaller ones up to my attic and crawl space. That will still will be a while though, since I have had surgery on my foot. Dan

Perhaps it’s my color deficient vision, but 4K is white to me and not yellow at all. 5k is lightly bluish. Less than 3k is painfully yellow to me.
This coincides with what I found on other online sources below .
