Need some Cork for carving tools
#11
We need about 40 - 60 of them so we can put the carving chisels into them to protect the sharp ends.

Can pay shipping Thanks  Just PM me for address
As of this time I am now teaching vets again.  If you have any lumber scraps we can use them to glue up to make some bowl from a board which we have not done yet..  Thank You Everyone.

It is always the right time, to do the right thing.

Plastic corks are actually particularly nice for this - softer.  I bet you could contact local restaurants and get all you need for free.

This is for your public service project, right?  Be sure to mention that when you ask.

Excellent suggestion, Rich!  I never would have thought to check Amazon for that!

Check out McMaster and search for "Bottle Corks".  There are numerous sizes available that should fit every size tool.

Closed Cell Rigid (cross-linked) Packing Foam  works for that, cuts to size, if you can't scrounge it from packing, purchase it. Primer on types, pricey https://www.foamorder.com/foam/closed-cell-foam.html
Better to follow the leader than the pack. Less to step in.

Does the liquor store recycle wine corks? Maybe they will let you have some for your project?
