I know this group leans more to the user side than collector but I thought I’d see if anyone had any interest in a Stanley 71 router plane I have for sale. Unfortunately, I had to pay a pretty penny for this one but I couldn’t leave it behind.
This 71 was bought new in 1955 from a hardware store in the Westport area of Kansas City. I have the original receipt. It’s USA made version and 99% mint. Original box has one small tear but great decal and color. All three cutters and Stanley manual. Fence with screw and original washer. 100% original and complete. Hard to find them like this. Please email me at Firemedic669@hotmail.com for pics. I can text or email them. Price is $225 including free USPS shipping. Thanks!
These things are in high demand! Hard to find one minty. For a collector this is a deal. For a user I'd personally buy a non minty one and fix it up, or invest in veritas or LN. Someone should definitely add this 71 to their collection!

That’s for you Admiral!! Next time I’ll try to figure out how to straighten them.
I’m working about 1 mile from the hardware store that sold it and the construction company that bought it back in 1955. If they catch on fire, I’ll be there. The old hardware store was recently turned into 4-5 story apartments with commercial on first level. It’s an empty lot on google maps street view.
