My wife went shopping, and got herself something to put kitchen sponges/scrubby pads into. Unfortunately it’s got hollow legs that are going to trap moisture and maybe grow mold. I’m sure I don’t want to just seal up the holes, as temperature will expand/contract the trapped air and cause problems.
I’m thinking fill the legs with epoxy, but figured I’d see if there were better ideas out there first. Appreciate any suggestions.
The small holes into the near side legs are about 3/16” or a little smaller.

Lay a piece of Glad Press and Seal on the inside. Replace as necessary. Or tape over the holes with automotive green tape. Or lay in the Press and Seal, then go around the edges with tape.

In Hawaii we had to learn how to deal with mold. That thing your wife bought would end up in the trash really quick. You need to allow things to dry out or you’re going to get mold.
that would break before getting a chance to grow mold in my house. no way im using 2 hands- one to not knock it over and one to grab the sponge- to grab or put back a sponge every time.
