Building a cabin in the wilderness
#54
Another thread back from the dead, but actually, I've been watching him for two years now here:  https://www.youtube.com/c/ShawnJamesMySe...nce/videos

His original homestead location became difficult for him, someone is putting in a new road near the original cabin, a neighbor was harassing him, and he decided to buy new property and rebuild.  He sold the original cabin and is now in the process of building a new one on his new property.  Worth watching.

Also, he has a companion site where he talks more.  https://www.youtube.com/c/ShawnJames1/videos

Two years alone is no joke. It seems to me that you can go crazy. Once upon a time, I also lived alone and, having no friends, built my house on the plot I bought. I did the foundation and did the development myself, which I am very proud of. I would never have thought that you can even build a house entirely on your own with the Internet. I am happy that I found many valuable free services, such as https://petesuen.com/. Here, for example, the guys analyzed the market and selected services that provide scaffolding for repairs, which was very useful and saved a considerable amount of time and effort. I understand this man because once I was like that myself.
