If you do that you've bottomed out your spring and have eliminated all cushion in assembly which will lead to cracks and a trip to the scrap yard with your bandsaw.

NEVER fully tension a bandsaw.   NEVER !

Too true.  Why they even put a blade on their saws is a mystery to me.  It makes an otherwise fine product appear incapable.  My amazing G0636X couldn't cut much of anything with the blade they put on it.  I made a couple of terrible cuts, took it off, and threw it away.
