I can't seem to find issue 49 of WoodSmith magazine from June 1985
this issue describes a " Old Fashioned Porch Swing-Glider"
I made a number of these for siblings and in-laws in the late 80s
My oldest son, in his new house, remembers the porch swing fondly and wants one for himself
So I any one would be so kind to PM me if you have a copy, I would appreciate a photo copy of the plan.
Thank you very much
Tom

I will check this weekend. Give me a few days.
I no longer build museums but don't want to change my name. My new job is a lot less stressful. Life is much better.

Being picky for the right reason, and the op can fix it easily when he is made aware of it.

It seems to be 39.
It is available on Amazon for $5 plus $4 in shipping if the OP is interested in going that route.

The Woodsmith website will give you a preview which is possibly enough to build it.
Having seen the plans, I would suggest modifying it or finding another.
Those swings are much more comfortable with some curves in the back and seating.
