This piece was made from Maple first turned hollow on the lathe then the image was hand drawn and colored with Faber-Castell brush pens. The piece finished at 8" x 17" and the final finish is satin lacquer.

Another great piece Bruce.
From here, the details on both birds are truly amazing.  The maple is an excellent canvas, it brings life to the images.

Kinda wish the base was a smidge larger.  It "feels" unstable.
