Looks like this is the answer you’re looking for.  
It can certainly be done with 4.5 angle grinder maybe quicker in other ways but certainly can be done and probably very well with some planning.

Thank you for all the input and suggestions. Much appreciated.
I have a friend from church who has a portable rig including a cutting torch. He will do the cuts for me.
The only tool I have is a lathe.  Everything else is an accessory.
