Biesemeyer parts (out of business?)
#11
Looking for a part for my Biesemeyer fence on my newer model Unisaw. Backordered in many places and roughly $30 for the "cam foot assembly" which is basically a small strip of metal so I don't understand the price unless maybe they are out of business and there is a short supply of parts.
A search of their location in Mesa, AZ indicates the business is "permanently closed"

Anyone know if they are out of business?

AFAIK: Biesmeyer was first bought out by the old US owned Delta and then Delta was sold to a chinese company in 2004 and that was basically the end of the Delta we all knew and loved. Parts? Here is a link to a popular parts source;

Thanks for the info.  Part can be found on the link provided. $29.06 for a strip of metal approx. 1"x3"!!  Unbelievable....

I like challenges.  What does the part look like?

I will be you a dollar I can make it . . . and most likely it will cost you less than a dollar.

Guns are supposed to be dangerous. If yours is not dangerous you need to take it to a gunsmith and have it repaired.

I don't have one but the SawStop fence looks pretty much the same as the Bessy. Maybe they have the part you need.

Looks easy enough . . . but need a little bit more information.

Perhaps a link to where that picture came from -

Is your part missing, broke, deformed, etc?

Fun fact; Beiemeyer never patented the design. Nobody figured it out for years.

Question, can you buy one, get the dimensions off of it and then return it?
I no longer build museums but don't want to change my name. My new job is a lot less stressful. Life is much better.

The Shop Fox Classic version is $9.  Let me know if you need measurements and pictures.
