finish for live edge bench
#3
I'm building a couple live edge pieces for a school auction and could use ideas for a finish. They are simple benches that could also be used as coffee tables or tv stands. I have no idea if they will end up inside or as garden benches outside.
The slabs are pine of some sort. The live edges came out pretty nice but I don't know if a stain would make the edges stand out more or less. The surfaces are nice and flat and well sanded. Looking for quick and simple- maybe light stain and wipe on poly ? I don't really care for natural yellowed pine but If I stain only the surface, I'm afraid it will leach into the live edge.
Any ideas are appreciated

Note ... I only sound mean.

What you like for coloring doesn't matter.
You're giving them to a fundraiser.
Give them and expect them to go for very little based on your perceived value.
....
Finish.
You need to choose. These are finished for outdoors.
Or
Theses are finished for indoor use.

If you finish for outdoor use, include a note that they can be used indoors
But, should have some type of pad under the legs/feet
Woodwork... It's what I do for a living.
(well, such as it may be, It's my job)
((cept my boss is a @#!*&))
I think I'm gonna fire myself for that
