If she likes to cook, a salt/pepper box, Rolling pin, cutting board, a spurtle would all be good. A small bowl for snacks or keys, an ornament, a trivet, just a few ideas for starters.

That would be dibble® when you look. Earring posts, if she wears earrings, dry item serving bowls/dishes, and the ring holder come to mind as easy and appreciated. Any capped turning can become a night jewelry box with three compartments for rings, earrings and necklace.

I like dishes for people you owe respect, but have everything through affluence or age. Crummy trims from board ends, made into plates and filled with homemade candies or cookies. Simple, while, depending on the piece of wood, sometimes quite stunning.

Ring on the finial, jewelry in the box.

She collects bone china.

Make you feel good to write that, did it?

It's a relative, however distant.

BTW, "known" since I love proofreading.

Couple more season plate thoughts I ran across.

You can also cut a bit smaller and thinner, then use the double curve wings on spindle bodies for ornaments.

Also.
