Dewalt 611 router Lum n Abner special?

I thought it might be nice to have an extra motor for the dewalt 611.
So I start looking around for a bare motor and it looks like the prices are $130-150 for the bare motor.

But for $116 I can get another motor and base complete.

I'm way to young to remember Lum 'n Abners special Peas 1 can for a dime or 2 for a quarter, but I remember it anyway, and sadly I continue to see these all the time.

Pretty much the same for most power tools with separate components: look at price alone for a PC 7518 motor. How about buying a D-handle base for a PC 690? Want to buy some spare batteries for a Dewalt 18V tool? Better buy is the whole kit!
