I would like to see if anyone is interested in a pen exchange
#11
Sometime in after Christmas everyone who wishes to trade pens and pen blanks will be able to sign up and like the SS in handtools people will be picked a randome.

What do you guys think?

I know I sure would like to do it and if you know of any turners who might be interested in or out of country let them know too.

You will know the person you will be giving the pens back and forth to so you can ask each other Not the kind of pen that will be a surprise but if they want to trade pen blanks.

You will have a month to complete the pen and the mailing too and make sure each other has the tracking numbers.

What does everyone say?

Interesting. I've been organizing my shop a little and came up with a 5 gal. bucket overflowing with future pen and stopper blanks.

I'm sure I could be talked into parting with a bunch of blanks of local wood: Cherry, R Oak, W Oak, Hickory, Poplar, Maple, Pecan, Cedar and maybe an exotic or 2.

Count me in, the wife has asked for 6 for co-workers before Christmas so I may as well just add one more to the list.

Great idea.

I am thinking of after the Holidays between March and April what do you guys think?

I am writing the names down and everyone will have a chance to enroll up until the month we choose.

Also if you know of any other turners here let them now too. If this works good we will open it up to anyone who wishes to do a swap in the USA and International too.
