Help with restoring a mechanics tool chest
#7
A little off topic but its made out of wood. I have bought a tool chest from a garage sale and its needing some parts to get it back to shape. It is missing the upper push pin and the bottom pin at the side of the lid. I have attached a picture with red arrows to better explain what I am talking about. I was hoping you folks could help point me to a site where I can purchase these parts. Thanks!

Brass rod perhaps? Do you know anything about the manufacturer?
Does not look like a Gerstner.

As the above post stated, definitely does not look a Gerstner tool chest.

Gerstner sells replacement hardware, which might fit-- Part #107, 3" plunger pin:

Rockler also has a spring loaded tool box locking pin,Item #: 79236:

Thanks for the tips everyone. Now I know what the lid tip looks like and feel like I might be able to make one.
