I know it's only $15 + S&H. But it's one of those accessories that I might use 2-3 times/year so I'd like to know if it works as advertised.

I have one. Comes in very handy for asymmetric items. My only complaint is the part that fits next to your vise jaws is metal, and if your jaws are wood, you are somewhat limited in how much clamping pressure you can apply before denting your wood jaws.
