Kudos to Vintage Tools
#4
I have an older Stanley sliding bevel square. Went to use it and discovered that the locking nut had fallen off – nowhere to be found. The male part has an unusual thread and I could not match it at the local stores. Searched the internet for old tools and found vintagetools.net. Sent them a “cold” email (meaning I had never talked with them before) asking if they had any parts for these squares – offering to buy one or a complete locking mechanism. They found the right locking nut and mailed it – no charge. Just want to give a shout-out to jared at vintage tools. No previous relation with this company – but definitely will go to them in the future.
