Where to buy drum sander sleeves?
#9
I have a Craftsman oscillating drum sander. I need new sleeves for it. The sleeves need to be 1/2"x 4 1/2" to fit the drum. I need various grits--80,120,150. I'm looking for a vendor that will allow me to order the number of sanding sleeves of each grit individually. For example- I would like 10 80 grit sleeves, 20 120 grit sleeves etc. Can you recommend a store where I can place such an order? Thanks.

klingspores woodworking supply has three packs 3.39

super grit has singles in 1/2x4 1/2 .85 cents each most grits they also have all the other common sizes like 1 1/2 -2-2 1/2 -3 x 4 1/2 long in singles
econo abrasives has singles for sale 1/2 x 4 1/2 for 1.85 made in USA
the 1/2 inch sleeves fit the spindle itself with out the rubber drums I find that is the one size that does not last long so I buy them in 3 pks and toss them often
I have had my craftsman spindle sander for years not a bad little tool but parts are hard to come buy if you need them

I haven't ordered any drum sleeves in years, but I get my rolls for my wide belt sander from Supergrit and they sell drums, and sleeves. I find them to be better priced, quality, and real easy to deal with than the other big sanding store. They also have pneumatic drums, and supplies for them, and Dremel 6000 sleeves..
Worst thing they can do is cook ya and eat ya

yep.
when I put in my order and total it up with shipping they are the cheapest, and they have good long lasting sleeves.

I have the Craftsman OSS, and bought the Kilngspor sleeves, they are very good.
I started with absolutely nothing. Now, thanks to years of hard work, careful planning, and perseverance, I find I still have most of it left.
