It is for real. We have a stationary one at work. Takes off everything including residue from stuff like adhesives, oils, grease, cosmoline and importantly, with the right setting rust.

What a bargain. Guess it is angle grinders and cup brushes for me for a while.

Very cool. Also very expensive. What you don't see is the large cart attached to the hand held gun that provides power and control to the laser. Lots and lots of safety regs and engineering goes into the device to make it relatively safe to operate.
