Makita 98202 Wet Stone Sharpener Plane Blade Sharpening Jig
#8
Recently I was able to purchase a Makita Wet Stone plane blade sharpener off of Craigslist for $20. The machine needs a good cleaning but all in all it's in great shape works just fine. the only issue I'm having is it did not come with the plane blade sharpening jigs that is for hand planes and chisels. I have looked on the ereplacementparts website with no luck. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase this Jig

I recently picked up one of those Makita sharpener but haven't used it yet. I also received the manual with the machine. I didn't see a plane/chisel jig available from Makita for the unit. I ordered this jig from Highland.

Same one I have Makita did not make a chisel jig as I recall. Just the large jointer and planer knife jig

Correct. It was designed as a planer/jointer knife sharpening machine, a task at which it excels. I have the Highland Hardware $14 chisel jig.

Thank you all for your kind of responses I now have a path to follow. I have ordered the sharpening Jig from Highland Hardware since they state it is made for that purpose. Plus you can't beat that price.

I made one from scrap wood in my shop. Used some threaded inserts and thumbscrews to hold them in place.
I have found how much a boat is used is inversely related to how much it weighs.
