Owner says they are 16-1/2" long -- are they more for pen turning than general spindle turning?

They look like golf club handles turned into carbide holders.

Yeah, owner says that's one of the "trademarks" of the guy that made them but he can't remember who it was or find his web site.

Could be used for either pen or bowl turning. Some are tilted at different angles, so I kind of doubt they were all intended for pen or spindle turning.
