I'm bored
#11
Shop is clean, tools and machines oiled, things put away and organized.

All projects done- Have no new projects.
It is raining, no yard work. House is cleaned. Chores done. Wife at work.

Like hanging out in the shop, so I just sit in there and play guitar instead.

This has never happened before.

I keep an acoustic hanging on the front of an upper cabinet door in the shop. When I get bored or when taking a break, it's my go-to diversion.
If I had 8 hours to cut down a tree, I'd do it in 15 minutes with a chainsaw and drink beer the other 7:45 hrs.

Some times I bang on a marimba I made for my girl a couple of years ago.

I have never seen this world that you speak of.

Give that Philadelphia highboy that Paul posted a go. That'll keep you completely engaged for a good long while. If it's not enough challenge to build it with your modern power tools, use hand tools only. Still need a challenge? Replicate the finishing processes used on the original.

Or, if you prefer, you could do something like the urns for veterans effort.

Members on the North Carolina Woodworker site have been making urns and donating them through a Veteran's Cemetery for families of vets who might have financial issues affording one.
