Latest basket weave attempt.

Maple bowl, just over 10" diameter. This one was turned to finish green and allowed to warp. I thought that might add to the basket effect. Also attempted to incorporate a flower vine pattern into the design.

That is very nice work. I know absolutely nothing on how you did it. I presume that you used a woodburning iron.

Excellent. I think the idea of using the warped bowl is a good one.

I see from your bowl gouge post you watch some youtube video. If you're interested I have a video about how to do, or at least how I do this type of embellishment. It's a different bowl with a different pattern but the technique is the same.
