Does anyone make a steel tablesaw handwheel?

I looked at both of those places. Most of them at Grizzly specify the material that they are made of, except for the spoked wheels. I don't know if they are steel or some other alloy.

As far as McMaster, I really don't want to take out a second mortgage to buy a handwheel.

Thanks for your help.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I have a metal spoked hand wheel from a Jet contractor saw. If that is what you need, it's yours for the cost of postage

PM me if you want more info

MSC sells them ans some of the Grizzly are all metal. Minor issue will be getting the right ID as well as the key slot-seems there is no universal size.

Steel or cast iron?

There is a significant difference. Most of the Grizzly wheels are specified as cast iron.

The only one that doesn't specify the material is this one:

Looking closely at the spokes tell me this is a casting with a machined outer rim.

I got some of the 6" CI units from Grizzly for my Craftsman cabinet saw. The cast iron made machining them to suit the saw pretty easy as it's relatively soft.

Steel would have been a whole 'nuther job.

Good luck
