Caulking and Primer -Rough Cedar
#4
Painting a garden shed that has rough cedar at different areas (corners, doors, etc). Should I prime, caulk, then paint? That is the order than I am thinking but open to suggestions.

Thank You in advance.
It's all good till it's no good anymore.

That will do the job. Depending on the caulk I've also had to prime caulk prime again the caulked areas and paint.

When painting sheds and houses here cedar is common on the 80s houses and when I do it I caulk first then paint using sherwin willams paint. I can't remember what it is off hand but it's a paint sort of stain product. It has changed over the years but it's still a good product and no need to prime. The first coat is tough to make sure coverage is good.
