Painted the cabinets(inside and out), made new drawer fronts, and changed the hinges/pulls.
Cabs were made/installed in 1965, dang things are better now than new ones. Will have to repair one door where the water degraded the wood. Other than that, just popped off the trim, painted them brushed nickle, and reinstalled.

How did you install that dishwasher? Is that base in front of it?

That section of the base cabs were drawers when we bought the house. I was not about to leave a $1,500 Bosch DW. But, the counter top was too low(and covered with square white 6" by 6" tile) , so I ditched the old tile, raised the top two inches and cut out the space for the DW. And set 18" tiles for the counter top.
That is a piece of luaun to hide the base cover, which was damaged in the move.
