guess safety gear is not required. The way that lathe was shaking I am surprised it didn't fall over.

Couldn't he get in trouble with OSHA for not wearing hearing protection?

I am thinking this might be his first time with something that big and that since the motor kept stalling out that God was telling him to stop.

I guess he got smarter when he had his dad out there to keep it turned on by pushing the button all the time.

Like I always said just because you know facts does not mean you have common sense.

Also I am wondering how he is going to address the cracks and pith when he sells it.
As of this time I am not teaching vets to turn. Also please do not send any items to me without prior notification.  Thank You Everyone.

It is always the right time, to do the right thing.

It looks like he's done this before. You could see some turned posts in the background.

Just think of the train wreck after he "acquired" his tool rest.
One day they're going to find him squashed like a bug in front of his lathe.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

He sure beat himself up getting it round. A little work with a chainsaw would have saved a lot of effort.
