Missing pin and screw for Stanley 48 fence
#3
Hi all,

I recently acquired an old Stanley #48 tongue and groove plane. It looks like it will clean up to be a nice user, but it's missing the spring-loaded pin (and the spring) that locks the rotating fence into place.

Any ideas on finding / making a replacement part?

Thanks!

Tom

It just so happens I have a parts 48. I bought it to be a user, but someone welded the fence and made it a whisker too long and now the fence doesn't lock. The knob is excellent and I'm certain the spring and pin are okay. PM me if you're interested
Currently a smarta$$ but hoping to one day graduate to wisea$$
