Hi woodnetter,
I got this #12 for a song and looked for a handle in the S'nS.. I got the advie to turn myself (wich won't happen) But as you might know I know a very talented turner.
So can someone send me a scan of the handle with some dimensions?
Cheers

Pedder, I've got a handle and I'll either take the measurements or send you the handle and screws. I think I have one that is ready to part out but I have to verify that before I commit to sending.

#12,s are not rare and what you have is unique in an historical way. If you restore back to original, you will only have a #12. The # 12 you have now is really cool!!!!
Why not make this functional as is, and let us know how it performs.

Hi Jim,
That would be great, otherwise a scan of the handle would be close as good. A reason to visit Alex in Hamburg.

I'm thinking hockey stick grip tape around the handle, and it'll be even more unique. And more comfortable. On the other hand, you are one of the master handle makers, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

They are a bit rare over here.
It's not a handle it's an illness, but If you like, I send it to you.

Does this help Pedder?
I have two and both handles are a little bit different, one is 3/16" longer and the diameter of the central sections are different. Although it looks like the scale lines on the pic don't seem to line up, they were/are drawn where they should be. It's a camera thing.

Jim-
Forgive my ignorance, but what does the phi represent in your drawing?
