Scotts Drop Spreader Wheel Skidding
#3
I was seeding an area a few weeks ago with a Scotts classic drop spreader. It's one-wheel drive and the wheel was skidding. If it's empty or there's not much product in the hopper it seems to work better. I did a search this morning and found this post

i think I'm going to look at mine and see if I can do the same conversion.

Ours too has that problem. The wheel is free wheeling because of corners. Since my wife does the spreading I don't worry about it. When I have used it I just push it back and forth a little to free it up.
