I have owned it for 10+ years and never had a problem until yesterday. The pattern was like this ** ** The gun was absolutely clean when I started. What do you think caused the void in the pattern? I was using water base Kilz. I put on over lapping passes vertical and horizontal, to my surprise coverage was nice.

Today I did two coats of the finish paint and there was no problem. Is it reasonable to think I was putting on too little primer?

I look forward to the WN wisdom.

A figure 8 pattern, material at the ends and little to nothing in the middle, is an air cap issue. Clean out the orifice s and channels in the cap. And if there is a diverter behind the cap that to should be cleaned.

Solvent, brushes, toothpicks, little wires used for cleaning wire welders, etc.
