Need some walnut for inset panels
#8
I'm wrapping up a project that's been in storage for too long.  It's a cedar chest based on this design:

The inserts in my design are about 8"x12" and I'd like a nice burl or something with interesting grain.  I can resaw a larger block, or even use veneer.

Problem is I need a source -- anyone got any they'd suggest?

I've heard good things about CertainlyWood.com but I've not used them before.
I know others here have bought from them and reported good things.

Constantines may just fit your needs.  And Joe WoodWorker  has a lot of options.

I have some walnut veneer if you are interested. Some is very curly walnut and some is more of a figured burl. I can get pictures and post here or email to you, just let me know if you are still looking.

Thanks,

Mike,

I have quite a bit of curly walnut veneer. I will check to see what I have and bring it over when I get a chance to come over to borrow your lathe.

Oh snap, still getting my settings correct. Did not see Jason's reply.

The stuff I have came from Jason's stash and I am closer, and I can deliver seeing that I need to use your lathe.
