Jack Metcalfe did it. Diana and Minerva commode
#6
Jack Metcalfe went and did it. He fulfilled what has been a lifelong dream of mine.
He has reproduced Chippendale's Diana and Minerva commode.
The cabinet is my very favorite piece of furniture, and the best to ever leave Chippendale's shop.

It only took him 13 years... You got plenty of time.

That "clunk" you just heard was my jaw hitting the ground.

That's fantastic.

The original invoice from Thomas Chippendale to Sir Edwin Bigshot. The next photo is the same material printed out for us to read. Chippendale also sold Sir Bigshot a car cover for the cabinet. It's the next item on the invoice, one pound. The cabinet cost eighty six pounds.
Amazing, so inexpensive!
